United Way Honors Supporters at Thank You Celebration Wednesday
For the City Times
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – United Way of Inner Wisconsin honored its many supporters Wednesday during its Thank You and Recognition Celebration at Great Expectations.
“Our most important assets are our donors and our volunteers,” said Tari Jahns, CEO.
The evening began with appreciation for United Way campaign volunteers including Loaned Executives and Division Chairs. 2017 Campaign Chair Katie Peters received an award for her leadership during the campaign.
“We thank each and every person who rolled up their sleeves and did their part during the 2017 campaign – either by making a donation or by pitching in to help. You made our campaign a success and you are helping the community.” said Jahns.
United Way also recognized participants of its many Giving Communities, such as the Loyal Contributors (donated at any level for at least 10 years), Leadership Givers (combined household gifts of at least $500), United Forever Guild (donated at least $1,000 to our endowment fund) and Women United (women who donate $250 and fund chosen initiatives).
The 2017 “$1,000 Sweepstakes” sponsors received awards: Aspirus, Heartland Farms, Inc., River Cities Bank and Timber Shores.
