Obituary: Lorraine Doehr, 91
Lorraine M. Doehr, 91, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at Hilltop Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.
She was born on Sep. 28, 1926, in Junction City, to the late John and Marie (Mallek) Wayerski. Her first marriage to Leonard Buelow ended in divorce. On Aug. 1, 1953, she married Kenneth Doehr in Stevens Point. They enjoyed 52 wonderful years of marriage before Kenneth passed away on July 2, 2006.
In her younger years, Lorraine had worked at the Stevens Point Division of Consolidated Papers. She later was a homemaker and belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and the St. Lawrence Parish Council of Catholic Women in Wisconsin Rapids. Her interests included attending polka festivals with her husband, playing cards and spending time with her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Carole (Leon) Pankratz of Spencer, Denise (Kenneth) Mancl of Nekoosa, and Debra (Scot) Herman of Gold Canyon, Arizona; six grandchildren, Michael (Ann) Pankratz, Pamela (Brad) Cook, Kevin (special friend, Dawn) Pankratz, Joshua (Nicole) Mancl, Craig (Rani) Mancl and Elyse Field; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Garrett, Grace, Alison, Megan, Hannah, Aaron, Cameron, Kelsey and Ellie; great-great-grandson, Alan; and sister-in-law, Virginia Wayerski.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by her brother, Arnold Wayerski; sister, Jeannette Shegstad; brother-in-law, James Shegstad; sister-in-law, Violet Mann; and brother-in-law, Harold Mann.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids with the Rev. Aaron Becker officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, 2201 Chestnut Street in Wisconsin Rapids, and again at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time for Mass.
