WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Mead Witter Foundation, Inc. has awarded a $9,250 grant to McMillan Library to fund four concerts in 2018.

Singer-songwriter John Gorka is the first of the concerts, scheduled for Feb. 1. The Gypsy Jazz ensemble Harmonious Wail will appear on Sept. 27. Local bluegrass favorites Art Stevenson & High Water are booked for Oct. 4. The Eric Mintel Quartet will present a Christmas themed jazz concert on Dec. 13.

All concerts will take place in the Library’s Fine Arts Center and start at 7:00 p.m. These events are fully sponsored and no tickets are required, though seating in the Fine Arts Center may be limited.

“The Foundation’s ongoing support of McMillan Library is deeply appreciated by the library board, the staff, and by the thousands of community members who make use of the library,” noted Library Director Andy Barnett “This grant enriches our programming and the community.”

For information about other events in the Adult Concert series or other Library programs, visit mcmillanlibrary.org or call the Library at 715-422-5136.
