United Way Volunteer Column for Week of Feb. 7

United Way of Inner Wisconsin’s Volunteer Center promotes the volunteer needs of local non-profit organizations in both south Wood and Adams Counties on a weekly basis. Here is how you can get involved and volunteer for these great organizations.
Aging and Disability Resource Center-Meals on Wheels: Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday from 11am – noon to deliver meals from our Centralia and Huntington House Dining Sites. These meals enable frail, elderly people to remain in their own homes and receive a hot and nutritious meal. Consider bringing a bit of comfort AND food to an individual who needs it most. Routes typically take 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. Some volunteer choose to volunteer daily or even seasonally and some commit to specific days of the week. Volunteers do not have to drive every day but can set a schedule based on how often they are interested in volunteering.
Senior Meal Site Volunteer: Nourish. Community. Spirit.
