WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State Technical College will host a Spotlight on Health Careers at its Marshfield campus on Wednesday, Feb.28, from 5 to 7 p.m. The open-house style event is free and open to high school students, their parents and community members.

The event includes updates on Mid-State’s health programs, information about Dual Credit opportunities and a meet-and-greet with faculty. Participants will also be able to explore hands-on demo stations of Mid-State’s health programs, including EMT, Nursing, Nursing Assistant, Respiratory Therapist, Medical Assistant, Central Service Technician, Surgical Technologist, and Phlebotomy Technician as well as the new Medical Lab Technician program, starting fall 2018.

“We’re excited to offer this informative and engaging way for our prospective students to gain a better understanding of these in-demand careers and the education Mid-State provides to prepare our graduates for success,” said Mid-State’s associate dean of Health, Lori Weigel.

Those interested in attending the Spotlight on Health Careers can get more information and register at mstc.edu/spotlight.
