Police & Sheriff Calls for Feb. 9-11

Feb. 9

Car vs. Pole: At 5:15 a.m. a call was made to report a car that had struck a pole in the area of Chestnut St.

Shovel Thief: At 12:14 p.m. a report was made concerning the theft of shovels from a garage on the 2900 block of Sampson St.

Yelling: At 4:33 a.m. a call was made to report two men yelling and knocking on windows outside a residence on 19th Ave. South.

No. of Accidents Reported: 3

Feb. 10

Sidewalk Parking: At 5:46 p.m. a complaint was made downtown regarding a vehicle parked on the sidewalk. Police would find that only half a tire was on the curb, and was not considered a problem.

Sled Thief: At 3:14 p.m. a call was made to report a group of kids who stole a sled from others on the residence on 18th St. South.

Burglary: At 6:22 p.m. a burglary was reported from a residence on the 600 block of 12th St. South.

No. of Accidents Reported: 1

Feb. 11

Snowmobile Thugs: At 12:02 p.m. a call was made to report seven men hanging by a gas station on W. Grand Ave. yelling at various truck drivers.

Swerving: At 4:22 p.m. dispatch was notified of a driver on Highway 66 that had been speeding up and slowing down, while serving across the center lane multiple times.
