Cultural Center Announces New Classes

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — New classes have been announced for this year at the Central Wisconsin Cultural Center.
Slated to start up at their new location will be “Make & Take” Kokedama, Foliage & Terrariums for beginners and advanced students, led by professional floral designer Kathleen Johnson, AIFD, CFD, CF. Take home a completed floral design from each class.
Kokedama Ball
Make your own Kokedama Ball, a centuries-old gardening technique that’s gaining popularity in the U.S. for its wonderful simplicity as a natural but elegant art form. You will learn the origins of Kokedama balls, the best-suited materials, plant care, and different ways to display them. Each student will take home one finished plant. March 1 | Choose: Daytime 1 – 3 PM or Evening 6 – 8 PM |

Fun With Foliage
Are you yearning for spring? Then don’t miss this spring-inspiring class. You will be energized in our environment of grasses and foliage while learning how to manipulate greenery into your own unique arrangement. Nature’s beautiful greens are sure to revive and restore a wintery mood. Build Your Own Terrarium
Can’t wait to get your hands in the dirt? This is the workshop for you! Terrariums are super easy to make and low maintenance. Join us and start creating your own living piece of art, a mini-ecosystem under glass. Then take home a spring-like terrarium to admire as you make plans for warm weather outdoor gardening.
