For the City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The City of Wisconsin Rapids is hosting an open house for residents, business owners, and any other interested persons to learn more about the new proposed zoning code and potential amendments to the City’s comprehensive plan, in particular the future land use chapter.

The open house is from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm on March 19 at the McMillan Public Library, located at 490 E. Grand Avenue in Wisconsin Rapids. People can drop in at any time during the open house to learn about the proposed zoning code and the proposed comprehensive plan amendment. The proposed zoning code will be posted on the project website on or about March 13 (address below).

The Planning Commission will use the input received at the open house to prepare a final draft. A public hearing will likely be scheduled in April or May to accept formal input on the final drafts. For more information about the open house, contact Adam Tegen, Director of Community Development, at (715) 421-8225.
