REPURPOSED STEEL STRAPPING FLOWER WORKSHOP
Wednesday, May 9, 2018 | Choose Daytime 1 – 3 pm or Evening 5:30 – 7:30 pm | Don’t miss this workshop at the Cultural Center! No art experience necessary. Anyone can make this great metal flower by reusing steel strapping for petals, metal rebar for a stem, wood for the center, and curled wire for leaves.Manipulate repurposed materials and take home a rustic, whimsical, one-of-a-kind sturdy enough and “ready to plant” in your garden or flower bed. | Instructor: Denise Larson | Cost: $30 | All materials provided |
STAINED GLASS WORKSHOP
Saturday, May 12, 2018 | 8:30 am – 4:30 pm with a break for lunch | Learn all the basic techniques of stained glass in one day, and take home a colorful completed project! Take advantage of our first-ever stained glass workshop which includes the copper foil method, safety, types of glass, patterns, cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, cleaning, patinas, and finishing. | Instructor: Bonnie Dhein | Cost: $125 | Lunch is on your own | Registration required.

STALKING THE ELUSIVE WILD CRANBERRY
Saturday, June 15, 2018 | 10 am – 2 pm | For anyone interested in the aesthetic beauty of our Central Wisconsin area. Join this fun excursion to Sandhill Wildlife Refuge in pursuit of the “elusive” wild cranberry. Phil Brown and Steve Kipfer will guide you through the native fruit’s history and contributions to local traditions. Open to all ages. Photographers and artists will have time to capture/create images unique to wild marshes. Travel by bus from Johnson Hills Building parking lot; depart 10:00 am; arrive back at 2:00 pm. Registration is required; call 715-421-4598. Cost: $20 per person. Box lunch will be provided. This event is co-hosted by Central Wisconsin Cultural Center and South Wood County Historical Society.
CRANBERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL ART EXHIBIT
SUNDAY, June 16, 2018 | 10 am – 4 pm | View this year’s official festival art created by artist Fred Perryman of Wisconsin Rapids and all of the beautiful art pieces chosen as finalists for the Cranberry Blossom Festival art poster. Take a tour of Cultural Center’s new location, gallery and studios in the historic Johnson Hills building. Blossom Fest POSTERS for sale: $5 each. Past years’ posters also available for sale. We have the entire collection of art posters on display on the first floor of the Johnson Hills Building! This event hosted by Central Wisconsin Cultural Center.
CRANBERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL
