WISCONSIN RAPIDS —  The Friday before Mother’s Day, May 11, is Provider Appreciation Day, a special day to recognize child care providers, child care center directors and staff, and all those who work with children and are responsible for their quality care.

It is estimated that 2.2 million people work in the early childhood workforce across country caring for nearly 15 million children under age six.

“It is a honor to help raise children that are in my care. It is beautiful to watch them grow and learn. The best reward for me is when your past day care children come and visit you and ask you to provide care for their own children. I have an amazing career,” said Esther Miller, a regulated child care provider in central Wisconsin.

High-quality child care that provides a safe, healthy place for children to learn and grow, guided by dedicated professionals, can set the stage for lifelong success.

“Child care professionals have the opportunity to make a lifetime of difference in the lives of children and their families.  Thank you child care providers.  You are so appreciated,” said Kelly Borchardt, Childcaring Executive Director.

Celebrate Child Care Provider Appreciation Day. Please take the time to thank and appreciate the people in your life who commit their time and energy to the care of young children.  Visit the Childcaring FB page to comment on our Child Care Provider Appreciation post thanking child care providers for all they do.

If you or someone you know is interested in providing child care, contact Childcaring at 1-800-628-8534 or call to register for one of our FREE child care start-up sessions.
