BREAKING: Body Found in Wisconsin River by Centralia Dam

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — An unidentified body has been recovered in the Wisconsin River, by the Centralia Dam, according to Wood County Sheriff’s authorities.

On Sunday afternoon, a 911 call was received regarding the body of a man found in the Wisconsin River, north of the Centralia Dam. Upon arrival, law enforcement recovered the body, and determined it to be a Caucasian male.

At this current time, the identity of the man is unknown, and his death is under investigation. Assisting the Wood County Sheriff’s Department was the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, Port Edwards Police Department, Wisconsin Rapids Department of Natural Resources, Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department, and the Wood County Coroner.
