For the City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Celiac Support Group will have a family picnic Tuesday, June 12, at 6 pm at Ben Hanson Park, 2121 Second. Ave. South.

The support group will provide burgers, brats, buns, plates, napkins and silverware. A small cash donation will be requested at the picnic to cover this cost. Those attending are asked to bring a gluten-free side dish or dessert to pass with a serving utensil and the beverage of your choice. To make your reservation, please call Lori at 715.421.7466 by June 7. Let her know how many are attending, your choice(s) of burger or brat, and whether you are bringing a side dish or dessert.

Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been on a gluten-free diet for years, the Celiac Support Group will put you on the path to learning more about celiac disease, gluten intolerance, and gluten-free living, shopping, cooking and eating out. New members of all ages and their family members are welcome.

The Celiac Support Group is facilitated by Lori Cesare, DTR, an Aspirus Riverview registered dietetic technician with several years of experience educating patients about gluten-free diets. For more information, please call 715.421.7446.
