WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wood County Association for Home and Community Education (HCE) recently awarded a $500 scholarship to Megan Friday of Wisconsin Rapids. Megan is the daughter of Scott and Jodi Friday and is a 2018 graduate of Lincoln High School, Wisconsin Rapids.

HCE is a non-profit organization that partners with UW-Extension Family Living Programs at both the state and the county level to bring quality educational programming to our members and our communities.

Each year, the Wood County HCE club awards a scholarship to a graduating senior in Wood County who will be enrolling in higher education. The scholarship was presented to Megan at the Lincoln High School Awards Night.

Friday will be attending the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, majoring in Clinical Laboratory Science and with a minor in Spanish.
