Wisconsin Rapids native is crowned Miss Wisconsin

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – A central Wisconsin woman is the new Miss Wisconsin. Tianna Vanderhei qualified by winning the Violet Wood pageant earlier this year and was crowned Miss Wisconsin 2018 in Oshkosh on June 16.
The 25-year-old Wisconsin Rapids native also won the CMN Miracle Maker Award, the Overall Interview Award, and the Overall Dancer Award. She’s a former broadcast journalist from WXOW-TV in La Crosse. It was her sixth time in the Miss Wisconsin competition. She wins a $10,000 scholarship.
Jessica Hammer was the first runner-up, followed by Elise O’Connell.
Vanderhei will represent Wisconsin in the national Miss America competition in Atlantic City on Sept. 9.
