Excessive heat causes damage to State Hwy 54

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Excessive heat, June 30, sparked the buckling of the eastbound lanes of State Hwy 54 near Hayes Avenue in the town of Plover.
The buckling occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m., damaging two vehicles, and causing both lanes to close that afternoon as crews worked to fix the repairs.
