WISCONSIN RAPIDS — United Way of Inner Wisconsin’s Volunteer Center promotes the volunteer needs of local non-profit organizations in both south Wood and Adams Counties. Here is how you can get involved and volunteer:

South Wood County Stuff the Bus Volunteer Opportunities

Stuff the Bus volunteers:  Volunteers are needed to help sort school supplies on Aug. 2 at Veteran’s Memorial Park from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Volunteers are also needed to help set up. Rain location will be at the Centralia Center.

Stuff the Desk pre-packing and set-up: Volunteers are needed to help set up for Stuff the Desk. Set up is Aug. 15 at Lincoln High School.  We will sort school supplies and get ready for distribution to the children. Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m, with shifts available from 9-11 a.m. and 11 am. – 1 p.m.

Stuff the Desk distribution: Volunteers are needed to help distribute school supplies on Aug. 18 at Lincoln High School from 8:30-11 a.m. Volunteers will be helping to hand out pre-bagged supplies, as well as help clean up and prepare left over supplies for school distribution/storage.

Adams County Stuff the Bus: We need volunteers in Adams County to help sort and distribute school supplies after Stuff the Bus picks-up donations. We will be sorting school supplies and assembling backpacks on Aug. 13, 2018 from 9 a.m. to completion.

School supply drives need in Adams County: We are looking for local businesses, churches, and service organizations in Adams County to hold school supply drives from July 16 – Aug.10. We will be driving a bus to each location to pick them up on Aug. 10. School supplies will be distributed to needy children in Adams County.
