Riverkings sign Payton Cater

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Riverkings have announced the signing of Payton Cater, a 01 forward from the Dallas Blackhawks U16 AAA team. This is the third player from the Blackhawks to be join the Riverkings.
Payton was a surprise addition to an impressive group of forward already under contract for the coming season.
Coach Marty Quarters said, “Our staff went into tryouts looking for 2-3 defense men as we prepare to complete our roster, but Payton’s speed and skill jumped out at us and really fits our style of play.
“Playing alongside returning forward, Rich Young, and the success they had, made our decision very simple in offering Payton a contract. Payton showed speed, skill, and a high compete level added in with his strong character which will allow him to be a perfect fit on and off the ice.”
