For the Rapids City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – “Ready for Adventure!” will be held Aug. 16, 5-7 p.m., at the Lake Wazeecha Red Sands Beach Pavilion.

The event is designed to inspire health and wellness among local women. Ladies will rotate through five activity stations, including: an outdoor yoga class, a stand-up paddle boarding demonstration, a healthy grilling demonstration, a group hike, and an “oils for outdoor living” demonstration. The stations will be active and involve extensive standing and walking; so, participants are asked to wear walking shoes and bring a towel or yoga mat. Ladies will also enjoy a healthy, on-the-go snack, have the opportunity to win doors prizes, and take home an Aspiring Women gift.

Attendance is free with a suggested donation of grain-free dog food – canned or dry. Advance registration is required, as space is limited. To register, visit aspirus.org/AspiringWomen or call 1-800-847-4707 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5:30 pm.
