WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Central Wisconsin BMX hosted the Boys & Girls Club of the Wisconsin Rapids Area for a BMX Day, giving the kids a chance to try out bicycle motocross.

The event, held July 18, was the first of its kind for the club and was organized by Affiliate Coordinator Jon Russell.

“I think BMX Day was a great way to introduce the kids to something they might not have previously had the opportunity to do,” said Sam Hodgson, development director for the Boys & Girls Club. “We strive to find different activities and events that expose our members to new things they might find a passion for.

“BMX racing was definitely one of those for some. I wouldn’t be surprised to see many of our kids back at the track.”
