Jen Jackson named Outstanding Adviser

For the Rapids City Times

NEKOOSA – The Nekoosa FBLA finished their 2017-18 year with a trip to the National Leadership Conference in Baltimore, MD. The National Leadership Conference brings together over 10,000 members and advisers from 33 states, China, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands to compete, network, and build leadership and business skills for student members.

Sophomore Hailey Brown competed in Intro to Business Communication. Nick Eidenschink, a junior, was served in his new role as the Region II Vice President for the state of Wisconsin. Nick, along with the entire state officer team, conducted the state meeting, attended the Regional Campaign Rally, met members at Opening and Awards Ceremonies, and networked with other state officers from around the country. Other members in attendance were Sydney Spang, Adrian Rodriguez, and Halee Evenson.

At the event, Nekoosa adviser Jen Jackson was named the Wisconsin Outstanding Local Chapter Adviser.

“It is a true honor to be named Outstanding Adviser,” she said. “I only get to experience this once, and what makes is so special that our members have to nominate me for this award. To know they feel that I am the best adviser in the state is something special and I will never forget this experience.”
