Central Wisconsin Literacy Council board members: Central Wisconsin Literacy Council is looking for new people to join the board of directors. As a board member, your role is to support the mission of the organization and help promote the organization.  You help guide the organization so that it can better achieve its stated mission. Active Board members help make decisions on programs, marketing, and promotion of the organization and are asked to participate at events and fundraisers to help promote the organization. They are looking for individuals with experience in Marketing, IT, Fundraising, and/or Business backgrounds. Prior board experience is a plus but not necessary.

United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties landscape volunteer: Do you have a green thumb? Do you enjoy playing in the dirt? If yes, then we need you. United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties is looking for a volunteer landscape artist. This volunteer position would involve preparing our landscaping for winter, possible planting and mulch spreading in the spring/summer, and just general weeding and landscape upkeep. Time commitment is only around 20 hours for the year.

Hilltop Affiliates music volunteer: Do you enjoy playing the piano or other musical instrument, or singing? We are looking for help in entertaining our residents. Make your own schedule and help brighten the day of some older folks in the community.

Craft volunteer: We are looking for volunteers to help with crafts and other activities our residents like to do. If you are crafty and like to help others, this may be the thing for you. Our craft/activity times are usually late morning or early afternoon and can be a one-time involvement or ongoing.

Lowell Center: They have volunteer opportunities for everyone, from receptionists, food set-up/cleanup, bingo callers, blood pressure screeners to teaching card games or helping with dances.

For more information, contact the volunteer center at 715-421-0390.
