August 2

I’ll take the Wi-Fi, hold the pizza!

At 5:23 p.m., an employee of a Wisconsin Rapids pizza place called to report that there was a vehicle that had been coming to their parking lot and just sitting there multiple times a day, daily. Police arrived and spoke with the owner of the suspicious vehicle. The man was just there to use the Wi-Fi.

August 3

Wisconsin Rapids bush people?

At 7:13 a.m., an employee at a Wisconsin Rapids pharmacy reported seeing a man crawl into a bush in their front parking lot. Police arrived and sent the man on his way.

Park bathroom drug use

At 1:04 p.m., a man reported that his step son and his friend used a bathroom at a park, and two men were in the bathroom with needles lying all around them. The men left and police were able to find the vehicle and arrested the driver.

August 4

Neighbor kids break into garage

At 5:27 p.m., a 37-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man called to report that his neighbor kids were in his garage. The parents were given a warning.

August 5

Mom throws teenage daughter out

At 3:16 p.m., a 16-year-old Wisconsin Rapids female reported that her mother had kicked her out of the house and was throwing her belongings out a window. Police took the young woman to the police department where her grandmother picked her up.

August 6

Citizen recovers stolen items

At 1:09 p.m., a 51-year-old Wisconsin Rapids resident reported that he had seen some individuals stealing items from his yard. The resident followed the thieves and confronted them. He was able to recover all the items that were taken.  Police scouted the area and were unable to find the suspects.

August 7

Here Kitty, Kitty

At 12:36 a.m., a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported seeing someone walking thru the yards in the neighborhood with a flashlight. Police spoke with a 27-year-old woman who stated she had been looking for her missing cat.
