Rafters roll at Dreams Showcase

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters sent three players to the Major League Dreams Showcase in Madison on Aug. 7. Ty Duvall (Vanderbilt), Trayson Kubo (Stephen F. Austin) and Jack-Thomas Wold (UNLV) all contributed to a 4-1 win for the home team in the South Division clash.
Trayson Kubo started the South Division matchup at the MLDS pitching the first two frames with a hit, strikeout, and walk.
Ty Duvall went 2-for-2 and an RBI with two base hits. Duvall brought in the first run of the game in the second with a base hit to right. Wold was hitless but worked a walk and scored the third run of the game for the home team off a hit from Lakeshore’s Christian Boulware.
Kubo was awarded the win for the home team while Madison’s Trace Norkus got the save.
