Construction of County Highway Z starts with public meeting Aug. 13

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and Adams County Highway Department and Mashuda Contractors will hold a construction information meeting for the County Highway Z project — Alpine Drive to Wood County Line — Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. at the Lester Public Library, 1157 Rome Center Drive, Nekoosa.
This project includes the reconstruction and realignment of County Highway Z between Alpine Drive and the Wood/Adams County Line. Improvements include new pavement, realignment, guardrail and signing. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin Aug. 14.
During construction, traffic will be detoured via County Highway C, WIS 13, and WIS 73.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning the project. Mashuda Contractors will have a representative available to discuss the project schedule and access during construction operations.
