August 22

I know you’re in there!

At 8:23 p.m., a Wisconsin Rapids man called police to report that a white Dodge Dakota pulled up to his neighbor’s house, knocked on the door and yelled, “I know you’re in there!” He then kicked in the door, grabbed a plastic rake and took off. When police arrived the man who’s door was kicked in did not come to the door, as he has an active warrant out for his arrest.

Motion lights cause suspicion

At 11:18 p.m., a Grand Rapids man reported that his and his neighbor’s motion lights kept going off. He also said that his dog was agitated several times throughout the night, which is unusual. His mother stated she thought she had seen a flashlight on outside. Police investigated and did find a broken window. There are no suspects at this time.

August 23

Subjects break into house through window

At 8:45 p.m., a Wisconsin Rapids woman called to report that she watched someone crawl through her neighbor’s front porch window. Police found a man and woman in the residence who did not have permission to be there. The couple was sent on their way and advised them that no one is allowed in the house unless the owner is present.

Man found beat up

At 11:56 p.m. a 27-year-old female called to report that she had found a male subject who had appeared to have been beat up. He was going in and out of consciousness. Police arrived and escorted the man home. Police attempted to find witnesses to the incident. No witnesses came forward with information.

August 25

Missing husband

At 7:55 p.m., a 55-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman reported that her husband has been gone for a week, and she was unsure of where he is or where he may have gone. The woman does not believe her husband is in any danger. She tried calling the Salvation Army in Stevens Point and Wausau, and they would not confirm or deny that her husband was there.

Woman witnesses abuse on video chat

At 11:14 p.m., a 35-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man reported that he had seen his friend’s boyfriend attack her while on a video chat with the woman. There were visible marks on both arms of the woman. Police arrived and the house was empty.

August 26

Give the cat some meow mix

At 9:52 p.m., a 29-year-old woman reported that a cat had been meowing on the front porch for over three hours. By the time police arrived, the cat had meow-ed on.
