September 1

House party at vacant home

At 6:07 p.m., a 47-year-old woman called stating that it appears that someone had broken into her home, which is currently for sale, and had a party the night before. No one should be in the home and there should be no lights on or cars in the driveway. Caller requested extra patrol.

September 5

Good Samaritan act not recognized

At 2:36 p.m., a man stopped in the intersection of Baker Drive and STH 54 to move some wood and other miscellaneous items that had fallen from a truck out of the way. The driver of the missing items then showed up and accused the man of stealing the wood and items. When the man suggested meeting in a parking lot to get the items, instead of in the middle of the intersection, the other man starting yelling obscenities at him.

September 6

Civil processor attacked

At 7:02 p.m., a civil processor reported being attacked while serving papers to a residence. The person getting served was not home. The attacker resided in a neighboring home. The processor did report injuries but refused EMS.

Gas ‘n Go?

At 7:30 p.m., a gas station employee reported that a female was urinating by her vehicle outside near the gas pumps. The woman left before police arrived.

September 7

Man just wants the right drugs

At 9:50 p.m., a 77-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man called 911 to report that he had just paid $100 for baking soda mixed with cocaine. He wanted the officer to see the drugs in front of him to prove that he was ripped off. He only uses cocaine sometimes, but when he does he wants it to be the right stuff.

September 10

Is there room at the jail?

At 4:21 a.m., an employee at the Wood County Jail called to report that there was a main trying to come in the main door of the jail. The man appeared to be highly intoxicated and was covered in blood. The man stated he was breaking probation. Police gave the man a breath test, which he failed. The man was looking to be placed in jail, however, at the time had not committed a crime.
