The building which once housed the historic Palace Theater in Wisconsin Rapids came down Sept. 13, as part of the effort to remove four vacant buildings in what has been known as “the Theater Block,” on Johnson Street between Second and Third Avenues. The building at 240 Johnson Street was also home to Sears & Roebuck Company, DeByle’s Clothing Store, and the Central Wisconsin Cultural Center. Rapids City Times staff photo
