Wood County Drug Task Force hosts Rapids presentation

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wood County Drug Task Force invites you to attend ‘A Path Towards Progress Part 2: Heroin(e).’
The documentary Heroin(e) takes place in Huntington, WV, where three courageous women are on the front lines to break the cycle of addiction one life at a time.
Following the documentary, you will learn about a similar battle going on right here in Wood County. Hear from staff of the Wood County Adult Drug Treatment Court and how this program is helping our community and supporting individuals struggling with substance use disorders. You will also get a chance to hear from a program graduate and how Drug Court has helped on his path to recovery.
The event will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 at McMillan Memorial Library, Wisconsin Rapids.
The presentation is free and will include dinner and childcare. Registration for the presentation is due by Sept. 17.
