WISCONSIN RAPIDS– ALDI welcomed shoppers back to its renovated Wisconsin Rapids store on Sept. 20.

The store, located at 1211 Eighth St. South, is part of a $1.9 billion initiative to remodel and expand more than 1,300 ALDI stores nationwide by the end of 2020. Locally, ALDI is investing $9 million to update five stores in Wausau-Rhinelander area by the end of 2018.

To celebrate the Wisconsin Rapids store reopening, ALDI hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 20.

“At ALDI, everything we do is about delivering high-quality food at affordable prices, and that will never change,” said Atty McGrath, Oak Creek division vice president for ALDI. “Now it will be even easier for customers to find the foods they want from us at a great price, whether it’s fresh produce, award-winning wines or our beloved ALDI Finds.”
