WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Riverkings finished Sept 21-22 on the road against the Rum River Mallards with a 4-2 win, sweeping the weekend and improving to a 3-1 record.

Many returners had a big showing on the score board as Jesse Edwards kicked in two goals, Raymond Fleming nabbed a goal and an assist, and three-year returner Richie Young chipped in two assists to the book.

Newcomers Jordan Stear and Chase MacKenzie helped out, with Stear putting up two assists and MacKenzie contributing one.

Edwards kicked the night off and ended the night with bookend goals. The team played hard against the Mallards, holding them to three goals all weekend and putting down nine. Friday night goalie Drake Bradshaw picked up his first win of the season in the net, only allowing one goal in.

Newcomer Thimo Ey kicked off the scoring with an assist by Jordan Stear. Returner Adam Peterson nailed one in with the help of teammate Cole Creger in the second. The boys were on fire in the third with Jesse Edwards picking up one goal and two assists. Raymond Fleming and Jered Stevenson also found the back of the net during the third. Jordan Stear, Thimo Ey, and Richie Young were all in the mix, each claiming an assist each.

The Riverkings head back out on the road to Minnesota, to face the Moose in Minneapolis.
