Two injured in Eighth Street South crash

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Two Wisconsin Rapids women were injured in a Sept. 24 crash that rerouted traffic on Eighth Street South in Wisconsin Rapids.
The accident occurred Sept. 24 at 12:50 p.m., when a red sedan being driven 70-year-old Joan Hurst of Wisconsin Rapids was traveling north on Eighth Street South. According to police reports, while attempting to make a left turn into the Arby’s Restaurant at 3110 Eighth St. South, Hurst did not see a Silver Mitsubishi Eclipse being driven by Logan Wildish, 18, and struck his vehicle.
Hurst was taken to Aspirus Riverview Hospital with minor injuries, while a passenger in the Wildish vehicle, Alexis Schindler, 18, was taken to Aspirus Riverview with serious injuries. Wildish was not injured.
