One person injured in town of Sigel crash

SIGEL – One person was injured in a Wood County crash that happened in the town of Sigel.
Officials say around noon on Sept. 28, a loaded pulp truck was traveling eastbound on County Hwy F at the County Hwy HH intersection, headed into Wisconsin Rapids, when an SUV failed to yield at the stop sign.
The pulp truck struck the SUV in the passenger’s side, causing it to tip onto its side. The driver was trapped in the SUV and was extracted by rescue personnel on scene.
The driver was transported by Life Link Ill Helicopter to Marshfield Medical Center.
The crash is being investigated by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol. The Vesper Fire Department and Rescue, Wood County Sheriff’s Rescue, and United Ambulance assisted at the scene.
The condition of the SUV driver is unknown at this time.
