Nekoosa Pumpkin Festival celebrates 21st year

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Nekoosa Giant Pumpkin Festival will celebrate its 21st year on Oct 6 & 7 at Riverside Park, 916 Prospect Ave., Nekoosa.
The event will offer a variety of family activities, including: a bake-off, children’s shows, a tractor & small engine show, pumpkin carving, a car show, a giant pumpkin contest, a pumpkin rolling contest, and pumpkin drops.
The grounds are open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday.
On-site parking is available, but parking is also offered at Nekoosa schools with a free pumpkin shuttle bus.
