League of Women voters and WRCM to host candidate forum

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The League of Women Voters of the Wisconsin Rapids Area (LWVWRA) and Wisconsin Community Media (WRCM) will host a candidate forum for candidates competing on the Nov. 6 ballot at 6 p.m. on Oct.23.

Invited candidates, include: Wisconsin Assembly District 70 candidates – Nancy VanderMeer (R) and Cari Fey (D); Wisconsin Assembly District 72 candidates– Scott Krug (R) and David Gorski (D); Wood County Sheriff candidates – Shawn Becker (R) and John Hiller (D); and Wood County Coroner candidates Scott Brehm (R) and Dara Borre Hamm (D).

The forums will be at the WRCM studio in the Centralia Center, 220 Third Ave. South, Wisconsin Rapids. The forum will be broadcast live on the WRCM website at www.wr.cm.org, Solarus high-definition channel 3, Charter Cable standard-definition channel 985, and on Roku devices by adding the WRCM’s channel through the web at http://roku.streamsource.tv/add/wrcm

The league encourages voters to attend the event or phone 715-423-0441 to submit questions to the candidates during the live broadcast.

The forum will be rebroadcast at various times on the television channels and also will be available on WRCM’s YouTube channel 24 hours after the forum at www.wisconsinrapidscommunitymedia.com
