Gerald R. Mullen, age 88, of 888 Ranger Road, Town of Saratoga, WI died Friday, October 5, 2018 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa, WI.  Rev. John Swing will officiate, burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa, WI.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home from 9:00 – 10:00 AM.

Gerald was born October 5, 1931 in the Town of Saratoga, WI to the late Christopher and Mary (Roach) Mullen.  He married Lois M. Helke on May 27, 1952 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.  Gerald was employed by Nekoosa Edwards Paper Company (Domtar) in Port Edwards, WI for 42 years, retiring on December 3, 1992.

Gerald had a love for the outdoors and working outside, he enjoyed cutting wood, going fishing, watching football and basketball, and listening to polka bands.

Gerald is survived by his wife Lois Mullen of Town of Saratoga, WI, sister-in-law Susan Tucker of Sacramento, CA, sister-in-law Patricia Helke of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Cynthia and brother Howard, father-in-law Leonard Helke, mother-in-law Evelyn Helke and brother-in-law Donald Helke.

The family wishes to thank Ministry Home Care Hospice for the excellent care given to Gerald.
