WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State Technical College cosmetology students will share their hair-cutting skills with the community, with free haircuts and a lot of fun at the college’s Cuts for Kids event.

The event takes places in Mid-State’s Wisconsin Rapids gymnasium and on-campus salon on Dec. 4, 4:30-7:30 p.m. Attendees will enjoy free haircuts, free food, Christmas cookie decorating, hands-on activities related to Mid-State programs, a game area, a chance to meet Santa, and more.

Cuts for Kids is part of Mid-State’s ongoing effort to give its Cosmetology students relevant hands-on experience that effectively prepares them to be industry leaders in the workforce.

“Cuts for Kids events are great opportunities for our cosmetology program students and instructors to provide a needed service to members of our surrounding community while utilizing their expertise,” said Missy Skurzewski-Servant, dean of Business & Technology.
