Germaine M. Korslin

Germaine M. Korslin, age 93, of Rudoph, WI, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her home surrounded by family.  She is now with Jesus.

Funeral Services are 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI.  Rev. Valentine Joseph will officiate, entombment will be in Forest Hill Mausoleum.  Visitation will be at Church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of services.

Germaine was born on February 18, 1925 in Little Chute, Wisconsin to Arnold and Hattie (Wydeven) Kempen.  She married Roman Korslin on May 4, 1946 in Rudolph, WI.  He died July 27, 2014.

In her younger years before marriage she worked on the family farm, worked as house keeper (1942) for Father Wagner at the Rudolph Grotto and worked at Preway.  Mom loved to cook and bake for family and friends.  She was known as Grandma Cookie and will be missed by all.

Germaine is survived by: six children, Kirk (Patti) Korslin of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Alan (Dawn) Korslin of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Doug (Anne) Korslin of Rudolph, WI, Todd (Janet) Korslin of Rudolph, WI, Lance (Lisa) Korslin of Nekoosa, WI and Marilee (Lonny) Piesik of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, sisters; Delores (Tom) Dupree of Texas, Rosaline Weiler of Wisconsin Rapids, Joyce Klonowski of Rudolph, Sharon (Mike) Gowart of Colorado and is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Germaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roman, sister Elaine, brother Elroy and nephew Rudy.

The family would like to thank the staff of Riverview Hospital and Aspirus Comfort Care Hospice for the excellent care given to Germaine.
