Lost hunter found using cell phone technology

VESPER – A lost hunter was found using cell phone location technology. The Vesper Fire Department said the call came in on Nov. 22 at 5:30 p.m., reporting a lost hunter off Hemlock Road in the Wood County town of Seneca.

Personnel from Vesper and Pittsville fire departments, the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, United Ambulance, and Wood County Dispatch located the lost hunter near a snowmobile trail.

The 47-year-old hunter from Wisconsin Rapids was not hurt, and did not seek medical
