Richard A. Havlovic

Richard A. Havlovic, age 62, of Nekoosa died Tuesday November 13, 2018 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids after a two year battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday November 18, 2018 at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Rev. John Swing will officiate. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM.
Rick was born December 8, 1955 in Wisconsin Rapids to Ernie and Caroline (Knoll) Havlovic. He married Cindy Worzalla on November 3, 1979 and they made their home in Port Edwards where Rick spent time cutting wood and hunting on his land. For 32 years, Rick was employed by ERCO Worldwide in Port Edwards, Retiring as a Chief Operator after 32 years.
Rick was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching all varieties of wild life in his back yard from his favorite living room chair. He loved watching sports with family and friends, telling a good (and sometimes long) story and going on adventures (especially up north to the camper at Spirit Lake). He found great joy as a grandpa, reading books, teaching to hunt, golfing, and sharing his stories.
He is survived by his wife Cindy Havlovic; son Jeremy (Jenny) Havlovic of Nekoosa and their children Klayton and Ariana; daughter Jen (Michael) Wicihowski of Madison and their children Aurora and Tessa; three sisters, Rita (Mark) Eichsteadt of Port Edwards, Joan (Clay) Ward of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Sharon Beversdorf of Wittenberg; one brother George (Tammy) Havlovic of Irma. Other survivors include many sisters-in law, brothers-in law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in law Frank Worzalla and Bernice Nystrom; brother in law Terry Beversdorf; and close friend Rick Blomberg (Grubby).
The family sends a special thanks to the team at the Aspirus UW Cancer Center of Wisconsin Rapids and Aspirus Riverview Hospital for their care and support.
