WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Nekoosa boys varsity basketball team edged out Assumption in the Consolation bracket of the 34th annual Cranberry Classic tournament at Assumption High School on Nov. 24.
Nekoosa beat Assumption, 50-48, in a game that came down to free throws.
The Columbus Dons boys came back from a first half deficit to take out the University School of Milwaukee, 92-85, and claim their third Cranberry Classic title in four years.
