Riverkings veteran recognized in USPHL Premier Midwest

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Riverkings veteran forward Adam Peterson was recently recognized as a USPHL Premier Midwest Division Player of the Month.
No player has scored more clutch goals in the division than this ‘98 from Chicago, a four-year Riverkings veteran. He has five game-winning goals – tied for third in the entire league – and one more shootout winner. Thus, half of the Riverkings’ 12 wins this year have Peterson’s stamp on it.
Three of his five game-winners came in his last four games of November, including the OT game-winner on Nov. 30 to end the month. He has helped Wisconsin go 7-2-1-1 in its last 10 games after a mediocre 5-6-0-0 start.
Like his team, Peterson has gotten better as the season has progressed. He has scored 18 points in nine games, scoring points in eight of those contests. That is a large portion of his total 25 points scored this year. His 15 goals scored ranks 14th in the league.
