Debra Kay Van Asten Sigler, born May 4, 1958 in Wisconsin Rapids and died on November 25, 2018.

Debra was an amazing person that was loved, is missed and will always be in her family’s hearts.

Debra was born to Donald and Virginia Van Asten. She married Steven Sigler in Port Edwards. Steve and Debra had two son, Jesse and Tyler.

Debra attended UW-Stevens Point, UW-Milwaukee and UW-Stout. Her major was mental health counselling.

She loved nature, hikes in the woods with her family and dogs (special dog, Fred), camping, her horses, music, water and snow skiing, trips to the cabin in Tomahawk, fishing trips to Canada, reading (Shakespeare) were things she loved to indulge in.

Debra was Bi-Polar and put up a strong fight to be strong and independent.

Debra is survived by her sons, Jesse and Tyler (Haley); parents; brother, Douglas; niece, Leslie Schneeberger and family and many cousins.

Debra was preceded in death by grandparents, Leo and Minnie Van Asten and aunts and uncles, Peg and Larry Berard, Lorraine and Harold Jagodzinski and Alois and Ellie Van Asten.

Debra was close friends for many years with Steve and Vera Keller.

There will be no services. The family would like to thank the Ritchay Funeral Home for their outstanding service.
