WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Area Middle School (WRAMS) wrestling team braved the cold weather, recently hosting a brat fry to benefit a local family in need.

The team wanted to do something to give back to the community during the holiday season and the community responded in a big way.  The athletes raised $1,775 in just over two hours, with 100 percent of proceeds going to the family’s needs.

“I am beyond proud of our athletes, their families, and the entire community for making this fundraiser a success!” said WRAMS Coach Brian Back.  “The outpouring of support for this local family was way beyond what any of us expected. It’s inspiring to see how generous our community is to help those in need.”
