Nekoosa boys lose in buzzer beater

POYNETTE – The Nekoosa boys basketball team narrowly lost to the Poynette Pumas in a nonconference match up Dec. 18 in Poynette.

The game started out back and forth as Poynette went up by three and lead 25-22 at the half. Nekoosa fought back and had a 50-43 lead with under four minutes left in the game. With 7.6 seconds left, Poynette inbounded the ball down 50-49. After two missed shots they got a tip in at the buzzer to win by one, 51-50.

Nekoosa was led by Dylan Bills with 15, while Jace Lobner and Keagan Kolo each added 11.

Sawyer Hall was high for Poynette with 11.
