December 12
Another day, another dollar destroyed
At 11:09 a.m., an employee at a Wisconsin Rapids store called to report that a customer attempted to use a fake bill. The employee destroyed the bill and the customer did not receive any goods.
December 13
Dispute over kids
At 2:02 p.m., a woman called to report a disturbance at a restaurant. A woman was in the parking lot of the business and was almost struck by a vehicle. It appeared the woman had been arguing with the people in the car regarding kids.
Man is bringing the heat
At 7:23 p.m., a Wisconsin Rapids woman called to report a suspicious man entering an unoccupied apartment in her building. Police made contact with the man who was just delivering heaters to keep the pipes from freezing in the apartment.
December 14
Neighbor dispute
At 12:35 p.m., a Wisconsin Rapids man called to report that a man who has been staying with one of his neighbors pointed his finger at him like a gun today. He feels the man did that to him because he has called the police on him in the past and felt this was a threat on his life.
December 17
Woman reports gun shots
At 11:08 p.m., a Wisconsin Rapids woman called after hearing what sounded like a gunshot near her residence. After hearing the shot, she witnessed a man come out of a nearby alley, stumbling. An officer arrived and spoke with the woman and took a description of the man. The woman called back again, as she has heard more shots coming from the same area and heard the sound of a man screaming. Officers returned and heard another gun shot while in the area.
