WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Toys for Tots distribution in Wisconsin Rapids was held at the South Wood Emerging Pantry Shelf (SWEPS) on Dec. 15, with three United States Marines participate in the event to help distribute the toys.

The Marine Corp Reserves have supported Toys for Tots for the past 71 years, more specifically in Wisconsin Rapids for about 30 years.

More than 100 volunteers were involved in the entire process of the toy distribution.  This year, about 1,000 children in 332 households in the Wisconsin Rapids area received toys. Children who participate in the program are referred by school counselors.
