DUNDEE, IL – The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings found success Dec. 20-21 at the Midwest Chicago Showcase at the Leaf’s Ice Center in Dundee, IL.

On Dec. 20, the Riverkings defeated in-state rivals, the Dells Ducks in a 4-1 win. Adam Peterson, Luke Millius, Jordan Stear, and Rich Young each picked up goals in the contest.

On Dec. 21, the Riverkings met several challengers, first facing the Motor City Hockey Club – the first place team of the Midwest East. Goalie Dom Paciocco picked up a shut-out win. Thimo Ey, Adam Peterson, and Raymond Fleming each had a goal and an assist in the game to help get the 3-0 victory.

That same day, the Riverkings defeated the Decatur Blaze in a 2-0 win with goals going to Rich Young and Haralds Jirgens.

The week ended in the same fashion as it began, with a win against the Dells Ducks. Ey completed his first juniors hat trick, along with Jered Stevenson and Young pitching in goals for the 5-2 crushing defeat.

Riverkings head home for the holidays but will be back in action in 2019 as they play at home Jan. 4-5 against the Minnesota Moose. Riverkings have won eight out of their last 10 games.
