WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Lincoln High School girls basketball team fell just short at Rhinelander’s holiday tournament, held Dec. 28-29 in Rhinelander.

Rapids beat Superior in the opening game, 55-46. The Red Raiders were led by Maddie Paitel, who scored 16 points.

In the championship game, Rapids lost to a tough Madison LaFollette team, 57-39. Lincoln held Madison to a season low 16 points in the first half. Paitel, once again, led with 14 points.
