December 24

Man arrested for multiple reasons

At 8:44 a.m., a Wisconsin Rapids officer responded to a disturbance call. A 35-year-old man was arrested for domestic related disorderly conduct, parole jumping, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

Porch pirate steals Christmas

At 11:32 a.m., a Wisconsin Rapids woman called to report that a package she was waiting for was delivered at 12:52 p.m. on Dec. 23 according to the shipping tracker. The package was not on her porch as stated. No suspects at this time.

Man arrested for theft

At 4:57 p.m., a department store employee called to report a theft. A 51-year-old man was found matching the description of the thief. The man was arrested and taken to the jail. His probation officer was notified.

Christmas Eve shoplifter caught

At 7:48 p.m., a Wisconsin Rapids store called to report that they had a woman detained who had been caught shoplifting. The total of her theft was over $200. The woman was arrested and has been asked not to come back to the store.

December 27

Suspicious man walking

At 1:01 a.m. a report of a man walking down the northbound lane of the Riverview Expressway was received. A police officer found the man who then requested a cab ride to the town of Rome. The officer gave the man a ride to gas station where he could meet the cab for his ride.

December 29

Man asked to leave

At 8:34 p.m., a police officer arrived at a Wisconsin Rapids gas station to assist employees trying to get a 40-year-old man to leave. When the officer arrived, he told the man to leave and asked him to do the same in the future.
