December 21

Missing dog reported stolen

At 7:41 a.m., a Grand Rapids resident reported that her dog was missing. After an investigation it was found that the dog had been found on the side of the road and the people who found the dog posted it on Facebook trying to locate the owners. The dog was returned to its owner without further incident.

December 23

Drunk Driving

At 2:15 a.m., a Wood County deputy made a traffic stop outside of Port Edwards. The man pulled over and put the car in reverse instead of park. The deputy approached the car and got the 69-year-old male driver to shut the vehicle off. The man refused a blood draw and was then taken to his residence released to his wife.

Drunk in Arpin

At 2:46 a.m., a Wood County deputy arrested a 28-year-old man near the park in Arpin after finding him to be intoxicated. He was taken to a local hospital for a blood draw and then released to a responsible adult.

Missing man located

At 1:56 p.m., a Port Edwards woman reported that her father, a 78-year-old man, was missing. Wood County deputies located his vehicle at the casino, and he was turned over to his daughter.

December 25

Traffic stop leads to multiple citations

At 5:09 p.m., Nekoosa Police pulled over a vehicle and found drugs in the vehicle. A 40-year-old woman was arrested, and one male passenger was given a citation for drug paraphernalia.

December 27

Traffic stop leads to arrest

At 5:51 p.m., a Grand Rapids police officer made a traffic stop and found a man in the car with a female who he is not allowed contact. The male was transported to Wood County Jail. The female was picked up by her father.
